We all have had these times, I know. It tends to come with the life of living for God. When life gets difficult or time consuming we tend to forget that God is still there, waiting for us to acknowledge Him. It is in those times when we should keep a look out for those small reminders throughout our day that God is with us. That He is helping us get through the day and placing all the pieces of our life puzzle together perfectly.
Throughout our lives there are always times where we may not feel as close to God as we may want to. Our lives get busy or complicated and we drift from God. Our lives can get crazy and we forget to take time to spend with Him or acknowledge that He is there with us. But I have learned lately throughout my busy schedule that even when we don't fully acknowledge Him, He is still there. In everything we do, He's reminding us that He is there and is guiding our lives, through big and small things. Whether it's the light turning green instead of red so you won't be late for work or an encouraging message from a friend, He is leaving reminders throughout our day to remind us that He is still there.
Whenever you find that you don't have the time to spend with Him, keep an eye out for those secret reminders throughout your day. Even though you may not have time to do your devotions in the morning or pray before you go to school, you can still spend time with Him throughout your day. In talking to Him, serving others, observing His creation, etc. you can grow closer in your relationship with Him. Whether your sitting in Chemistry class or spending time with family, you can talk to Him wherever you are. He is constantly reaching out to you, and ready to listen when you need His guidance. His reminders are everywhere, in everything you do you just have to pay attention.
"Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life." ~Psalm 143:8 NIV
Michaela, thank you for this wonderful reminder!
